In the morning after stretching our bodies and saying positive affirmations to ourselves in front of the bathroom mirror, it is time for a healthy breakfast.
Breakfast is a very important meal, as we want to supply ourselves with energy to create a pathway to good health.
Let's start with water. A glass of room temperature water with lemon and two drops of apple cider vinegar is a wonderful start.
Or a green drink. You can make juices or smoothies if you have a blender or a juicer.
Whatever you like, there are so many options. What is your preference? Do you enjoy a mixture of spinach leaves, carrots, lemon, celery, ginger or kale, cilantro, cucumber and green apple? With a little creativity, you will find yourself making a delicious and healthy drink, using the limitless bounty that nature provides.
Or perhaps you would prefer a fruit smoothie made with strawberries, bananas, kiwis, mangoes. It is recommended to add some green to it, a basil leaf, for example. Adding herbs and spices, chia seeds or protein powders to your smoothies will give you a boost in the morning, and power through the day.
Alternatively, another great morning drink idea is a home-made bone broth, or green, dandelion, nettle or ginger tea.
What to eat for breakfast to obtain good energy for the rest of the day?
Hot oatmeal or porridge with berries (blueberries, acaiberries are super healthy), avocados, scrambled eggs or omelets with strawberries and fresh mint, kale basil, parsley, chopped onion - whatever fresh, non-factory food you may find in your kitchen or garden.
Other breakfast ideas are bananas or steamed apples with cinnamon, almond butter, ghee butter, pumpkin, almond or coconut milk or vegetable soup (for late breakfast).
If you make pancakes or your own bread, try making them grain-free. If you use eggs, use organic eggs from grass-fed, free-roaming chickens.
To your healthy start, and lots of energy!
