What is good to know about a common cold

It's that time of the year again. The weather takes a turn for the worse, and everyone seems to be getting sick with cold.

We've all had it, and usually we know what to do. We try to keep ourselves warm by drinking warm beverages, we rest so our bodies can heal, we eat foods with vitamin C to boost our immune system, we take vitamins and minerals as a prevention from sickness.

Now, I would like to focus on the metaphysical side of the common cold.

Please pay attention to the way in which I began this article - oh well, it's winter season again , so we'll all probably get a cold. This idea that we all will eventually catch a cold is deeply rooted in us. What about changing the belief? What if we said "Yes, the weather is cold, but won't be sick, I never do because I don't believe in it!" Let's try to change our thoughts about the common cold; if you change your thoughts and choose not to believe that every year you will be sick, you may not fall ill at all! You can relax your mind and find yourself at peace.

In my last article I mentioned how people get depressed and sad and how our emotions can create toxins inside of us. Instead of creating peaceful experiences, we create worry, fear and anger. We sometimes use angry words, and no wonder we end up with a sinus infection or cold sores.

An infection or a flu is a response to negativity associated with fear. It is a response to an irritation as well. Who around you irritates you or makes you angry enough to make you ill? Have you expressed yourself angrily lately? Do you have problems expressing yourself? Are you restricted?

If you would pay more loving attention to yourself, appreciate yourself, create more harmony around yourself, try to be at peace and more relaxed, your immune system would be stronger and you would be much happier.

The next time you find yourself with a stuffy nose, sinus problems, or a sore throat, think about how you behaved during the last few days. You have to recognize your self-worth and surround yourself with peace and harmony, thereby creating beautiful experiences again.

No more chaos, stress, fear, anger and irritation! Just love in yourself! Find love and peace in yourself and you can't be irritated by others.
