THE KING IS THE HEART

Updated: May 10

Our Hearts are very sensitive in Spring. Especially in May the Heart needs our attention and to be strengthened. May is the month of love and joy. Our Hearts are our centers of love, joy and security. They beat to the rhythm of love. If people don't feel joy in the center of their Hearts, even money, position, status is useless because when joy is missing the emotional problems start to appear. Living in the state of joy is the key how to be loving, loved, healthy and happy.

What is our Heart?

The Heart is a muscular organ, little bit bigger than a fist, located between the lungs, behind and slightly left of the breastbone. It pumps blood through the blood vessels via the circulatory system. The blood vessels are part of the circulatory system, that transports blood throughout the human body. These vessels transport nutrients and oxygen to the tissues of the body. They also take waste and carbon dioxide and carry them away from the tissues and back to the Heart.

The circulatory system circulates blood and lymph through the body. Blood is a fluid that transports oxygen and nutrients to the cells; it is a tissue as well because it is a collection of similar specialized cells that serve particular functions.

Functions of the Heart:

The Heart is an amazing pump that pumps blood throughout the body, supplying oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and removing carbon dioxide and other wastes. Carbon dioxide is an odourless gas which is present in the air and is absorbed by plants in photosynthesis. The Heart controls our bodily fluids and blood circulation. It is a king of all organs in our body. There is a connection between the Heart and all the organs; the organs will always give their energy to help the Heart maintain the balance. If one of the organs is not functioning properly, the Heart feels it and suffers. Blood is made out of what we eat. It also carries the toxins, deposits and can be blocked by them, it means that a passage to the Heart can be blocked. The Heart may not be able to pump enough blood to the body, which can also damage the brain and other organs. Many organs are associated with blood - for example the spleen makes blood, the liver is a body filter, the small intestine helps in blood production. If your digestive organs are not in balance, your Heart will not be either. The Heart rules over the entire being, it houses the Spirit of the Heart, which radiates and shines from a person's eyes and face. It is also a ruler that dominates our sleep. If the Heart is weak, people have disturbed sleep.

Heart Diagnostics

How do I recognize that somebody might have an imbalanced Heart? I look at their nose. A swollen looking nose or little purple blood vessels on the nose, red face (our face has many blood vessels), very white top of the nose and cheeks or hanging the edge of the eyelid can be the first signs that the Heart disease is coming in the near future. Tongue is an another indicator. When the tongue is red , your Heart is in balance, if your tongue is pale, there might be insufficient blood in the Heart. When the tongue is dark purple it means that there is a blood stagnation in the Heart. When people have cracks on the tongue, it signifies that the Heart is not functioning well. So you see that conditions of the Heart can be recognised from the color or texture of the tongue. The tongue is the root of the Heart and it is associated with the speech problems. Speech problems are connected to the imbalanced Heart. People who are always speaking the truth have usually strong healthy Heart.

Symptoms :

Coronary Heart disease is very common. It is a condition caused by the buildup of waxy plaque in the arteries that flow to and from the Heart. Plaque consist of calcium, fatty acids, cholesterol particles and cellular waste. They accumulate on arterial walls and form a swelling. Build up plaque in the arteries reduces blood flow. Blood clots can lead to heart attacks or strokes. Stress, lack of exercise, Inflammation and unhealthy diet are the enemies. Nowadays the processed food is a big problem. Conventional meat, corn, soybean oil, pasteurized dairy and mainly sugar can promote inflammation.

Heart attack symptoms are sweating, nausea, vomiting, anxiety panic, irregular heartbeats, pain in the chest, arms, left shoulder, neck, and jaw.

Coronary Heart disease symptoms are similar. They include chest pain, feeling "heaviness" on the chest, pains in the breast bone, neck, stomach, arms, shortness of the breath, heartburn, general weakness

When the arteries to the brain are blocked, you have a stroke. When the arteries to the Heart are blocked you have a heart attack.

Irregular heartbeat means irregular rhythm of the Heart (too fast or too slow). Symptoms may develop like fatigue, dizziness, fainting, anxiety and sweating.

Risk factors:

low antioxidant levels in the body

high consumption of alcohol

smoking

eating poor diet

high blood pressure

diabetes

sleep deprivation

exposure to toxins

being over the age of 65

What to do to keep the blood flow going

quit smoking

quit drinking too much alcohol

eat good diet

exercise regularly

meditate to lower stress levels

have a good sleep

spend time with quality friends, family members

practice self-love and joy

Food that the Heart likes:

Before we get to the good and bad foods list I would like to mention bitter taste, which is associated with the Heart. If your body is craving bitter foods a lot, it means that your Heart is calling you for an attention and support.

Your Heart loves food that can lower the inflammation in the body. Herbs and spices like curcumine, turmeric, thyme, rosemary, bugleweed, cayenne are great for that. Also ginger and a raw garlic. Supplements such as omega 3 fish oil, coenzyme Q10, beta carotene, selenium, magnesium, vitamins C,D and E are recommended to support the Heart health and to lower inflammation.

Berries, citrus fruits, vegetables, especially the cruciferous ones, beets, carrots, asparagus, salad greens, spinach, avocados, legumes, beans, lentils, chickpeas.

Wild-caught fish, unpasteurized dairy, cage-free eggs, pasture-raised poultry, Mediterranean diet with olive oil, red wine in moderation, green tea, walnuts, dark chocolate, Chia seeds, flax seeds.

Usage of these essential oils is recommended - lemon, lemongrass, ginger and frankincense

Unhealthy foods for your Heart:

processed foods (meat and dairy), chips and crackers

sugar

white bread, white pasta, white rice

gluten

soybean oil

How to take care of the Heart?

- Eat a healthy diet (five servings of vegetables and three of fruits each day, raw, steamed, juiced)

- exercise

- keep calm and reduce stress - meditation, Yoga, Tai-chi, Chi-Gong; stay away from your cell phone, tablet, PC...

- have a healthy relationship with yourself (self-love) and with the others

- gentle massage the Heart meridian points

- place the hands on the chest

- practice deep belly breathing and visualization

- be with positive warm people

Remember that stress and anger influence negatively your cardiovascular system. They increase inflammation in the body that leads to damage of blood vessels. We have to learn how to release our emotions better, to pay attention how we feel inside, change our thoughts pattern and learn how to live in peace and joy. People who have no love in their lives are cold, their Hearts become cold and prone to be sick, their blood can get sluggish and unbalanced. If you have lot of joy in your live you will not have a Heart attack.

MAY YOUR HEART ALWAYS BEAT TO THE RHYTHM OF LOVE !!!!!
