HEALING YOURSELF PART 2 - THOUGHTS
Awareness is an ability to directly know and perceive, to feel, or to be cognizant of events. It is a state of being aware; having knowledge and consciousness. Consciousness is awareness of existence. It is the state of being aware. It is an awareness of yourself and your environment. Your conscious experiences are constantly changing and shifting. Our life is an reflection of our own consciousness. Subconsciousness is a part of consciousness that is not currently in focal awareness. It is our storage of our beliefs and values. It is our habit mind, our programmed mind. The subconscious mind determines our memories and monitors information around us, deciding what to send to the consciousness and what to store for later. It is the part of the mind, that cannot be consciously processed at that moment but it can be recalled. It can be accessible if you steer your attention to it and if you make a deliberate effort to recall.
You can train it by using visualizations, positive affirmations or practice ancient yoga regularly to let go of your past beliefs and limitations (mostly from your parents, school teachers when you were a child). You can change the established patterns of your behavior. When your brain waves change, you change the communication and environmental signals happening throughout the body. We can say that the subconscious mind is "where our problems and suffering originate."
Unconsciousness is a state which occurs when the ability to maintain awareness is lost. Mind processes in this state are not available to introspection. Our thoughts can't be deliberately brought to the surface. It is not accessible so easily. But by yoga practices or working with a psychoanalyst you can access it. According to me the unconscious mind lies beneath the subconscious mind.
According to Freud, " the unconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, memories outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the content of the unconscious are unacceptable, unpleasant feelings of pain, anxiety, hurt or conflict. The unconscious continues to influence our behavior and experience even though we are unaware of these underlying influences."
Thoughts are aim-oriented flows of ideas. They can be ideas or opinions produced by thinking or occurring suddenly in the mind. Thoughts govern our emotions and create chemicals. Low frequency thoughts affect our vibrations, energy, and can change into acidifying chemicals in the body. High frequency thoughts attract higher vibrations and alkalizing chemicals in the body. According to Louise Hay "Every thought we think is creating our future. If I could create peace, health, and harmony in my mind, I could create the same in my body and in my world."
Thoughts are caused by reaction to life. Our reactions to life are caused by our beliefs.
Belief is a personal attitude that something is the case of true. Belief is an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.
The habit of negative thinking
Negative fearful thoughts that we have for a longer period of time turn into chronic negative thoughts and later influence out beliefs and habits. The negative beliefs you hold inside of you make you feel you are not worthy of receiving goodness in your life.
When your life starts to be based on these negative thoughts, beliefs and habits, you may start being sick, without energy, you can feel something is blocked inside of you.
Low frequency thoughts create acidifying chemicals and high-frequency thoughts create alkalizing chemicals. The habit of negative thinking can contribute to creation of chronic stress in your body. Feelings of being overwhelmed, run-down and not healthy.
When we are under stress, our body produces cortisol in response to protect itself from the stress. Elevated cortisol levels for a longer time period create acidic condition in the body and our nervous system is no longer in balance. Our emotions and thoughts are disconnected causing emotional blockages. When stress starts to accumulate, the negative signals from the mind begin to damage the cells.
When we are happy, the body produces different chemicals like dopamine and our body chemistry starts to be alkaline. When you are happy, the chemicals in your brain travel throughout your body telling every cell of your happiness. If you are depressed, the opposite happens.
Mind - body connection
Everything we think originates inside of us. Our thoughts are energy and so are we. How your thoughts are today influences your body tomorrow. When you don't feel nice today, think about the thoughts you produced during last two days. What were you thinking about? Are you constantly worried, scared? Are you sensitive to how others look at you or what they think about you? Your anxiety is relayed chemically to each cell, causing a feeling of negative thinking habits affecting your immune system negatively.
Prolonged worry or anxiety can produce more acid in the body than we can't alkalize.
Our physical health begins in our cells. Our cells hear everything we say. Our cells react to everything we think about. When we decide to heal, our healing must touch the cells, because dis-ease or imbalance in our body begins at the cellular level.
Your mind is deeply influencing your body! Your breath is deeply influencing the mind!
People can look perfectly fit, exercise often, they can keep an alkalizing diet but they still can have cancer that they can't get rid of because of their thoughts (and feelings of anger, hate or fear) that create too much acid build up in their bodies. There has to be a balance between our thoughts and the food we eat, balance between the acidic and alkaline environment in our minds and bodies.
The mind and body disconnection plays its role as well. Due to our busy modern lives we are more and more disconnected from nature. People are constantly checking their phones, texting or posting on Facebook and Instagram, parents don't have time to listen to their children and children are busy playing video games. I believe that thanks to Internet and personal technologies people are becoming less and less intelligent and are not able to talk to each other or to look one another in the eye. They can't eat at the table in a restaurant without constantly checking their phones; they wait at the doctor's waiting room glued to their screens. I do not at this time wish to engage the broad topic of the health imbalances that technology causes to us humans, there is ample material there for another article.
How to heal?
Eat well alkalizing food and have high-frequency thoughts at the same time. Reprogram your mind. Change your diet and thoughts. Build a better relationship between your thalamus and hypothalamus in your brain. Learn how to breathe correctly.
Focus on positive emotions like love, peace, hope, faith.....which can help to alkalize your tissues and blood; choose only positive thoughts as they govern your emotions. To accomplish cheerfulness, feeling happy and healthy. Meditation is helpful: Calm your mind, build peacefulness inside of you. Connect yourself with your body. Live in the present moment. Be intimate with yourself. Go inside of your body, your cells are listening. Appreciate things as they are, see beauty in people and nature around you.
Maintain a good mood by taking B vitamins, magnesium, iron, zinc, vitamin C, manganese and tyrosine.
By doing all of these things you will stop creating too much acid in your body and you will feel much better.
Silence in awareness is refreshing to your mind. Meditation and visualization together with correct breathing and regular exercise and a healthy diet is the answer to heal the body.
Don't be in the past, don't be in the future - let go.
Be here right now, calm your mind, breathe deeply in your belly, deep long breaths. Be present, be intimate, feel the energy inside of you while you breathe. Be aware. How are your thoughts right now? How are your emotions at this moment? What do you feel? Where in your body do you feel it? Relax your entire body, drop your shoulders, relax your chin; remain in this relaxed state for a while.
Place your hands on your heart and listen. Breathe.
What kind of thoughts are you choosing right now? Nice positive ones to have a great tomorrow I hope.
Thoughts come and go like clouds in the sky. They come to visit us in our body like guests visit our home. But after while they leave our body, our home. We stay because we are the owners of the home, masters of our body. They go, we stay; we can change them and build a nice relationship with them.
Affirmations: The more present I am, the more I feel my inward awareness. I am releasing all of my attachments and moving into unconditional space. When I feed myself healthy foods, I nourish my body and mind for the day ahead. I am worthy of the best in life, and I accept it now. My body is my best friend. I am always safe and I love myself. Every day I am feeling healthier and healthier. My body loves how I choose the perfect thoughts and meal - I am worth healing.
