MATREOCA BODY PROGRAM - Introduction

Level 1 Introduction
Welcome to Matreoca! Today is a new day and we start together on this fantastic journey. New Year is here and it is a great time to dive deeply inside the body and practise inward awareness. I will be your teacher, helping you and "holding your hand" if you need so; you are not alone and you are totally safe.
I have been collecting healing wisdom and inward awareness knowledge for some time and now it is time to share it with you.
It is January, New Year, new resolution. People wish to change, to change their diets, to exercise more, to loose weight etc. How many times have you started over and over again? It usually doesn't work. With Matreoca we have a different approach.
It's winter, the weather is cold and we want to be warm. The nature is covered with frost or snow and is is quiet out there; the trees and plants are resting. Also we, human beings, are sensitive to hibernation, we are sensitive to the light; our sleep-wake rhytm and our moods in the winter. Our body wants to take it easy, rest and slowly prepare it's energy for spring. That's why I don't recommend to start an exercise program or start dieting in January after the holidays - your body is not ready, it is in "different mood" and it will not listen to you deeply. Your body wants to hibernate like the nature.
During this Matreoca session we respect our body, we get to know it better, create a deeper relatioship with it and prepare it for level 2 in spring. We practise inward awareness, mental hygiene, self-massage, breathing and affirmations.
Doctor's approval
To start, I recommend to make an appoinment with your doctor, prepare some questions you may have about your health, have a check-up and blood test, it is good to be tested for your cholesterol levels, magnesium, calcium levels, thyroid, for Lyme disease if you had it in the past and so on. You can get your doctor's approval for energy medicine exercises, yoga stretchings and light exercises. For women I recommend to visit your gynecologist for a check-up and again write down your questions if you have any. Visit your doctor prepared.
Daily reminders
Every day we will be working with different area of the body. However some reminders will be the same every day;
- watch your posture ( get a reminder several times a day in your phone)
- watch your stress (facial tics like blinking your eyes rapidly, bitting nails, touching your nose constantly etc.)
- watch your breath ( most of the times breathing into your belly)
- watch your self-talk (self criticism versus positive affirmations)
All of these above please add to your daily to do list.
