A BONE is a living tissue. The bones protect the various organs of the body, produce red and white blood cells, store minerals and lipids.
The bones are alive, growing and changing all the time like other parts of the body. Bones give structure to the body, they provide support and enable mobility. Individual bones provide a framework for the attachment of soft tissues and organs. They work with muscles to help the body move. The bones have cells, nerves, blood vessels and pain receptors.
A bone is made of collagen and calcium phosphate. Collagen is a protein that provides a soft framework,
calcium phosphate is a mineral that adds strenght and hardens the framework. Combination of collagen and calcium phosphate makes bone strong and flexible to withstand stress.
To gain strength and stability, bones and teeth (teeth are not bones, they are not living tissues) must absorb nutrients (calcium and phosphorus) in a process called mineralization.
There are about 206 bones in adult (not counting small sesamoid bones). The largest bone is the thigh bone (femur), and the smallest bone is the stapes in the middle ear.
JOINTS form the connections between bones. They are the areas where two or more bones meet.
Most joints are mobile, allowing the bones to move.
Joints consist of cartilage. Cartilage is a smooth elactic tissue that covers and protects the ends of long bones at the joints and nerves. Cartilage padding covers and separates the bone structures in the joint. Water content in the cartilage provides the ability to glide over the opposing cartilage surface and aids lubrication for the joint movements. When the body is dehydrated the cartilage can't work properly.
Joints pain
Joints pain signifies damage to the joint (several parts of joints can be damaged or the bones and the cartilage can be damaged). Muscles may weaken, causing joint to became unstable. The joint may change shape and deformities can develop. Fluids and nerves in the joint are run down, that's why we may feel pain and burning sensations or inflammation. The pain can affect our knees, shoulders, hips, ankles, hands anf feet. This usually occurs when the body is in it's dehydrated state and cries for water.
Weather can atribute to the pain as well. Low air pressure, low temperature or high humidity during rainy weather can swell up joints. Our muscles and tissues expand or contract causing pain. Fluids in the joints become thicker and joints can become sluggish. It is important to stay warm in cold, rainy weather.
Osteoporosis
The body loses too much bone or makes too little bone. The bones become weak and may break.
Arthritis
Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of the joints. Symptoms are joint pain, stiffness which worsen with age, loss of joints function, swelling, inflammation, formation of a bump on the big toe, restricted mobility.
There are several types of arthritis the most common are rheumatoid arthritis, gout and osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis happens when the cartilage between joints is breaking down and is wearing away. The joints rub against each other, causing discomfort and pain. When the cartilage in the joints dies, bone-to-bone contact begins. This movement produces an inflammatory process that can destroy the bone surfaces. The joint is dehydrated and to rebuild the cartilage cells the body needs water. Drink lot of water instead of taking painkillers which only mask but not solve the problem.
Hallux rigidus is osteoarthritis in the big toe; from Latin hallux= big toe and rigidus=stiffness. The MTP joint (first metatarsophalangeal joint) at the bottom of the big toe is affected.
HEALING PROTOCOL:
There are other ways then dulling the pain constantly with chemical drugs. It is not about treating a disease but about treating a person.
Lifestyle - maintain a stable healthy weight, exercise, (lot of weight is a stress on the joints) stretch the body regularly (yoga), breathe correctly (yoga), visit a chiropractor for chiropractic adjustments, have a massage using peppermint oil (gently massage counterclokwise around the joint). Strengthening the kidney meridian daily to keep the bones strong. Keep in mind that wrong exercise can worsen your condition. Visit a professional for more info.

Homeopathy
Symphytum ointment
Foods - cleanse the body with a real whole - foods diet. Healthy foods digested in your body will help repair the gastrointestinal tract which is a big step to heal arthritis and other diseases. Eat properly and in relaxed way.
Anti-inflammatory diet
Collagen rich foods - eggs, meat, fish (salmon, sardines) beans, dairy, bone broth
Calcium, vitamin D (sun exposure), vitamin K (mainly K2 which is in eggs, liver, meat....), vitamin C
Foods rich in magnesium and zinc,
Foods for your joints - bone broth (collagen), brocolli, cauliflower, garlic, onions, ginger, red cabbage, berries, apricots, nectarines, cherries, grass-fed beef, sesame, pumpkin , chia and sunflower seeds, avocado, turmeric, cinnamon, omega 3 and 6 - fatty acids, olive oil, flaxseed oil, cashews, walnuts, spirulina, pineaple, grapefruit (the juice can dissolve salt crystals in the joint)
These foods can help to form cartilage in the joints.
Water - the joint pain may be a result of water deficiency in the area. In the joint area there is no enough water circulation to wash out acidity and toxic material. Prolonged dehydration can leave the cartilage short of water and that may produce a greater friction and stress at the cartilage contact points in the joint. The cartilage cells sense their dehydration and give out alarm signals of pain. Dehydration means acidic environment and we need alkaline environment to thrive. DRINK PLENTY OF CLEAN ALKALINE WATER! The amount of water you consume affects how well your bones can do their job. Water brings calcium and other nutrients throughout the body, including to your bones.
Essential oils - peppermint, mix of eucalyptus, spruce and cypress oils
For your big toe - wear comfortable wide shoes, no high heal shoes
bath the feet in a contrast bath (cold/warm water, change after 30 seconds)
use ice packs to reduce inflammation
stretch daily; toe extensor exercise once a day for a minute; your chiropractor can show you how to do it corretly
NO processed foods, sugar, salt, fried foods, white flour, read meat and too much dairy, toxins from our environment - they are harming the body, weakening the joints, add to obesity. Stressor foods deplete vitamins, minerals and other nutrients essential for our body function.
Start paying more attention to Environmental medicine - environmental allergies are linked to bone health.
Indoor and outdoor air chemical pollutants, water suply, chemicals in food, chemicals in medications, chemicals in our home and cosmetic products. Toxic material we breathe or eat can get in the bowel and then into the bloodstream. The toxic waste can scratch and irritate the inner linings of the joints, leading to inflammation and pain.
Supplements - Sometimes people don't know how to take supplements corretly. Metals and minerals can interact; for example high levels of lead may block calcium uptake. There is a relatioship between minerals and vitamins like copper and zinc. The wrong combination or wrong amount of supplement can harm the body. Too much calcium is actually not good for the bones. There are too many differents brands on the market, sometimes you are not getting what the bottle says.
BALANCING THE INNER-SELF
Our bones provide support, they give structure to our body. When they are falling apart, there is no support, no structure, no strenght. Our own foundation is weakened. Is our life well supported? Do we have good foundation of love, family and friends around us? If we are full of worries, anger and fear, we are tense and it can take lot of pressure on our joints, muscles and bones. We are creating resistance, we are pushing too hard at life, pushing our bodies and minds to be in constant stress. Our self-esteem can weaken so is our body foundation. Arthritis comes from a constant pattern of criticism. Criticism of the self and the others. Perfectionism, carrying the guilt
and shame from the past. Feeling stuck and limited. But not wanting to make changes. Anger and guilt strongly affect our liver and gallbladder. It influences our digestion and well being. Anger makes the joints to be inflamed. The joints can't move freely, we can't bend, we can't move forward, we are stuck and full of pain.
Forget you or the others to be perfect - it is impossible. Constant perfectionism is harmful. Where are we self-righteous, why don't we want to bend, be more flexible and keep moving forward? Let go, forgive. Let's be flexible, let's move like our life is moving. Let go of pain and stiffness. Let go of guilt, free your mind.
Let's change the direction of our life to experience more joy. Let's move forward with ease, love and comfort. The world is changing, let's move without fear and anger, nice and easily flow with the change.
Balance our bones, joints, blood, immune system and the whole body by choosing healthy lifestyle, healthy food, drink plenty of quality water, correct exercise program and limiting our technology devices to keep our minds and self esteem healthy.
